Spring Fever

Blog by Karin Usipuik Personal Real Estate Corporation | May 24th, 2016

Even in this modern age it is amazing how much daylight affects our activities. Now that there’s a few more hours of daylight in the evening I’ve found myself with energy and motivation to get outside after supper and actually DO something! After a long winter of hunkering down in the evenings this extra daylight brings a chance to tackle some DIY projects. Oh, the home improvement projects, do they ever end? What did people do before there was Home Depot? The little hardware store just wasn’t quite as inspiring. I know after an afternoon spent in Home Depot I feel motivated to bring my (okay, Pinterest) ideas to life. In honour of this Spring fever that has given us all a little boost of energy I’ve rounded up a few inspiring home improvement projects (they're mini, you can DIY it!) that would enhance any home.

Spring fever has also hit the housing market, properties in the Comox Valley are being snapped up fast.  With little inventory, demand is high making now a great time to sell. If you are interested in possibly listing your home or wondering about it current market value, I would love to hear from you.

Cheers to Spring!

I love this garbage screen, an easy project to hide those garbage cans and increase your curb appeal!

Now that we’ll be spending more time outside, how about a wooden storage bench. From gardening to kids toys to recycling there is no limit to what you could store in here.

This bench would ease entryway chaos or look great outdoors too. Add a few hooks to increase the storage factor or some colourful cushions for sitting on outside.
