I find Spring always surprises me. Have you noticed it isn’t dark anymore at 5pm and there are little purple flowers popping up. Spring is here! Well, kind of here as in here one day (sunshine!) and gone the next but definetly an upward trend towards Spring and that means it’s time to get ready for the Spring market! Spring is to real estate what Christmas is to retail, selling season. Wether you are thinking of selling or planning to sell your home this year, Spring is a great time to list your home. And for the rest of us Spring is also a great time to refresh our homes.

Hit refresh. If only it were that easy to refresh our homes each Spring. Still, it needs to be done, after all our home is (for most people) the largest financial asset we have and an important investment to maintain. It doesn’t have to be all drudgery (like weeding), some of it can be fun! Like curb appeal. Make your home stand out and look inviting by focusing on your front entrance. It’s as easy as 123 to make a big impact (well, almost that easy). First pick a front door colour, second add attractive lighting and signage, and lastly introduce some greenery with a large urn. A painted door makes a big impact with little expense or time.

Here are five great colours that will make your front door pop.

Red, navy, and black are classic colours that compliment the majority of exterior colour schemes. You really can’t go wrong with one of these colours. Turquoise and burnt orange are two trendier colours that would look great with neutral exteriors like grey, beige, and tan.
